Narrogin is a key regional centre for education, health and finance, 200 kms south east of Perth in the midst of the State’s rich sheep and wheatbelt. It offers a comfortable and safe environment for residents, yet one that is full of enthusiasm and optimism.
With room for 250 students, Narrogin Residential College enjoys a fine reputation in residential care for students who must leave home and family to complete their education. The residential college has a proud list of former students who have become AFL footballers, representative hockey players, symphony orchestra musicians, doctors, lawyers, dentists, chemists, pilots and many other professionals. But, most of all, the residential college has a reputation for producing solid and decent citizens who represent their families and communities in only the most appropriate and proud manner.
Adjacent to the residential college is the Narrogin Senior High School, which for a long period of time has been at the forefront of education in the country, offering university preparation courses as well as specialist courses in aviation, hockey netball and cricket.
Narrogin Resident College has recently undergone a $7.2 million upgrade and students at the college enjoy boarding facilities that are second to none. Students are, for the most part, housed in single room accommodation with modern heating and air-conditioning in each room. Students have access to computers for research and printers for the high standard presentation of school assignments.
Recreational facilities at the residential college include a swimming pool and spa, oval, netball/basketball courts, cricket nets, volleyball courts and tennis courts. A 264-seat indoor recreation area is equipped with state of the art audio-visual facilities and is an excellent venue for college concerts and other social and educational events.
