Moora is located on the Midlands Highway 170kms north of Perth. It is recognised as the ‘gateway’ to Western Australia’s ‘wildflower country’ and is a popular stopover for tourists heading north following the wildflower trail. The region is also well known for the Pinnacles in the Nambung National Park and the Benedictine Monastery town of New Norcia.
St James Residential College Moora provides a boarding service which supports and encourages students with their studies and their recreational and social lives. With room for up to 50 residents, the college provides quality single room accommodation and facilities such as large common rooms, swimming pool, and outdoor and indoor recreational areas. As a smaller facility the college is able to provide a close personal touch, giving students the opportunity to develop strong relationships with both their peers and staff.
St James Residential College and Central Midlands Senior High School, which is situated in close proximity, have a strong pastoral care program and a close working relationship. This partnership ensures that students living in the college receive the same level of support as those living at home. Together, the college and senior high school provide access to a wide range of educational, cultural and recreational opportunities. The college values the education provided by the senior high school and shares its vision in the important role of developing young country people for their life ahead.
