Welcome to the Aboriginal Education and Training Directorate website. The Directorate operates across the government schooling sector, TAFEWA and the independent training area in Western Australia.
The focus of the Directorate is to accelerate the educational outcomes of Aboriginal students, as well as to provide support to education providers and Aboriginal people in their leadership and community involvement in Aboriginal education and training.
The Aboriginal Perspectives Across The Curriculum (APAC) is a culturally inclusive and collaborative program to enhance educational outcomes for Aboriginal students and to create a welcoming school environment. This program acknowledges and endorses Indigenous world views and promotes greater understanding and respect for Indigenous peoples, cultures, histories and languages.
A wide range of localised lesson plans and resources are available on the website to support the teaching of Aboriginal Studies in schools. View APAC
