System Performance Branch
The objective of the System Performance Branch is to ensure that appropriate
performance and statistical information is available for strategic planning
and management, and for monitoring and reporting system-level performance.
The System Performance Branch is responsible for:
- Coordination of system level reporting, including production of the
Annual Report
- Collecting and maintaining statistics on schools and students for
the education sector
- Production of performance indicators used in strategic planning and
management and in the Department’s Annual Report
- Providing advice on the use of performance and statistical information
for resource allocation
- Internal coordination of accountability arrangements and performance
measurement associated with the national accountability agenda and reporting
to national organisations and the Commonwealth
- Collaboration with other teams in the Department to ensure that performance
and accountability measures are consistently applied across the Department.
The System Performance Branch contains the Information Services section.
Information Services manages the collection and reporting of statistical
information relating to schools, students and staff throughout the WA
education system.
