Outdoor Education

The Bridgetown Camp School has long been renowned for quality outdoor programs, especially those relating to canoeing, cycling and team building.

Life Skills

Local people share their talents with visiting groups to run an array of workshops including activities such as: bread making; paper making; drumming; jugling; clay pottery; brain gym; caricature drawing and organic gardening.

Cross Curricula

Bridgetown is uniquely bordered by four shires and is central to the South West. Curriculum opportunities that exist in nearby towns have been identified and packaged as day trips (see Local Excursions below).

Environmental Education

The Bridgetown Camp School is the state's leading example of "Permaculture Education" in action. Students are involved in sustainable life practices in the day-to-day working of our emerging "Garden of Eden". The Bridgetown Camp School also offers a range of environmental activities and games.

Local Excursions

  • Lucieville Farm, which includes milking a cow, feeding farm animals, making damper and horse-riding.
  • Boyup Brook day trip, including Harvey Dickson' Country Music Centre and bootscooting, Roo Gully.
  • Manjimup day trip, including Manjimup Timber and Heritage Park and Museum.
  • Pemberton day trip, including Cascades, Beedelup Falls, Bicentennial and Gloucester Trees, Tram rides.
  • Walpole day trip, including the Tree Top Walk, WOW Wilderness Cruises.
  • Greenbushes day trip, including a Gwalia Mine Tour.
