Employee Support Bureau

 


The Employee Support Bureau website has been designed to help you navigate and find information on its various units as easily as possible.

Reading this page may help you to understand how the site works.

Firstly, the give gives information and links to the following areas:

Employee Assistance Program (Counselling) The Department offers a counselling service to all its employees and their immediate family members. This is an independent and confidential service.
Mediation Services The Department has contracted OSA Group to provide mediation services to its staff to reduce workplace conflict and therefore reduce the potential number of workers' compensation occupational stress claims.
Occupational Safety and Health The Department's Safety Officers assist in the management of risk through the process of identification, assessment and control, provision of professional advice and guidance on safety and health issues affecting school sites; and provide training to school staff on various safety and health issues.
Injury Management The Injury Management area provides rehabilitation assistance and support to employees who have sustained an injury or illness, and to principals or line managers to assist their employees return to normal work hours and duties.
Workers' Compensation Workers' Compensation provides assistance to injured employees. Weekly payments that cover loss of earning capacity, payment of medical expenses and rehabilitation expenses, help them remain at, or return to work.

Secondly, the top of each page has a menu bar for access to commonly used site functions.

HR Admin Home Page Clicking on the Human Resources option will return you to the Human Resources Services Home Page from anywhere in the site.
Department of Education Home Page Clicking on the Home option will return you to the Department Home Page.
Forms Clicking on the Forms option will return you to a list of all the forms and downloads available via Human Resources Services.
Contacts Clicking on the Contacts option opens a contacts introduction page. From here you will be able to link to a unit in Human Resource Services and see their contact details.
FAQ's Clicking on the FAQ's option will open a frequently asked questions introduction page. From here you will be able to link to a unit within Human Resource Services and see frequently asked questions.
Links Clicking on the Links option opens a Links introduction page. From here you will be able to link to a specific unit within Human Resource Services and visit both its internal and external links.
Site Map Clicking on the Site Map option will open a page listing all the units and their related pages in Human Resources Administration.

Adobe Acrobat Reader

 

Clicking on the Acrobat Reader option will take you to the Acrobat site to download its free software.
 

Thirdly, the symbols below will appear in some of the site pages and represent the following:

Exit This symbol indicates that you are leaving the Department website. Any information past this point cannot be guaranteed to be up to date or accurate.
PDF Document This symbol indicates that you will need to have Acrobat Reader installed to be able to open the document.
Word This symbol indicates that the document is saved as a Word 97-2000 & 6.0/95 Rich Text Format.

There are Introduction Pages for some of the more commonly used areas (for example, Contacts, Frequently Asked Questions, Links). These introduction pages will give you a list of the units within Human Resources Services and the appropriate link.
