SCHOOL EVACUATION PROCEDURES |

This policy is under review. In an emergency, it may be necessary to evacuate students from a school. Principals must prepare an evacuation plan for their school and carry out a practical evacuation exercise at least twice a year. As the needs for each school will be different, no common plan can be prepared for all schools.
The guidelines were developed by the Fire Safety Branch of the WA Fire Brigades Board, in conjunction with the Police Department, State Emergency Services and the Department. If you require any further information on this subject, please contact the Department's Safety Officers. |
