The Australian Government has a system of registration for training providers to make sure that vocational education & training in Australia is of the highest standard. Only RTOs can deliver nationally recognised training, so their training will be recognised anywhere in Australia.
RTOs offer a range of qualifications & training; including short course
& certificate / diploma courses.
To find out if a provider is registered you can visit the National
Training Information System (NTIS) or contact the CDC.
If you wish to become a Training Provider go to www.tac.wa.gov.au which explains how to become a RTO.
Short Courses provided by RTO, ,are generally aimed at providing you with a specific skill or knowledge. They range from forklift tickets through to minute taking. For details of providers of these course please contact the CDC directly.
